Ignite Victoria

Project Date:  June 2022 to December 2023

Funding Support:  SSI, Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry & Regions (VIC) (DJSIR)

Description:  Ignite’s success of expanding the Ignite model into new locations was the catalyst for this project.  Ignite applied for the DJSIR funding for developing micro enterprises in Victoria and was successfully awarded the support in 2022.

Previously Ignite had supported the East Gippsland Shire Council with implementing the model into fire affected communities in East Gippsland.   The evolution to providing the model throughout Victoria was a natural next step.

The project with DJSIR successfully concluded in December 2023.  To maintain the impressive foundations achieved in this project, Ignite continues to support entrepreneurs in Victoria through funding from SSI.

Outcomes:  205 Victorian clients participated in skill building, 16 businesses operating independently at the end of this project and more have continued to launch as a result of this project.
