Maria practised as an accountant with the ANZ bank for 17 years before starting to lose her eyesight. At the age of 50 she became completely blind and was helped by Vision Australia. She now wants to give back to people with disability around their management of money. Although no longer practising as an accountant Maria has insights gained while working in the bank.  She also has a psychology degree and lived experience that enable her to help others on both levels.
