If you have skills and knowledge in product development, marketing (including social media, sales, strategy, branding, graphic and web design), business planning, finance and accounting, or legal and compliance, we’d love to hear from you! Join Our Volunteer and Low Bono Support Team

Our volunteer team consists of business volunteers, low-bono professionals, pro-bono industry mentors/experts and students.  If you are passionate about giving back to the community, supporting those with barriers to receiving mainstream support and believe in economic participation for all,  we would love to hear from you.

Our goal for clients is to help expand their networks with service providers and supporters that are safe, kind and caring, knowledgeable and invested in helping others to develop their businesses.

If you are successful in your application, you will be placed in a pool of supporters that may be called upon from time to time.  You will be offered opportunities, and can accept or decline depending on your capacity.  You will always be facilitated with the Ignite facilitator and the client, never 1:1 with a client.

MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES

Marketing Strategy Support

What you can expect to do

  • Help to develop client marketing plans
  • Give input and support Ignite clients to develop their business brand
  • Help with market research and competitor analysis

Time commitment

Social Media Support

What you can expect to do

  • identify the best social media channels for a client (eg: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Create social media account/s and setup profiles
    • Use correct logo size
    • Fill out all relevant profile fields with relevant information and photos
  • Support with social media strategy
    • Support with creating a simple strategy for each channel (the strategy should be based on marketing goals that align with business objective)
    • Support with identifying relevant keywords/hashtags to maximise engagement
    • Support with creating a feed theme that is aligned with brand visuals
  • Social media engagement support
    • Provide practical support to the Ignite client.
    • Our goal is to help clients operate independently, therefore showing, then allowing them to do it with your support and finally operating their social media by themselves is the perfect scenario.

Content Writer

What you can expect to do

  • Content research
  • Copy creation for client’s website pages, digital and printed marketing collaterals
  • Audience research, keyword research and analytics

Graphic Design Support

What you can expect to do

  • Develop brand colour palette and logo concept
  • If needed, design marketing materials such as business cards, flyers, banners, menus, price lists, etc
  • If needed, design profile and cover photos for social media channels
  • Create and customise Invoice /Quote /Receipt templates (Word doc or other simple to use/edit software)
  • Website wireframe mock-up

ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE OPPORTUNITIES

Accounting & Finance Support

What you can expect to do

  • Help clients determine the best costing and pricing for their product/service
  • Guide on proper bookkeeping and accounting practices
  • Put together relevant financial data e.g., cash flow, profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • If possible and required,  to develop a simple, viable and effective business plan based on industry research

Are you a recent Graphic or Web Design graduate looking to start building a professional portfolio? Are you a new accounting or bookkeeping supplier? If you answered yes, then we have an opportunity for you!  Low Bono- means low cost.   We offer our clients who have financial barriers to starting their business access to receive some services at low rates to help them operate independently.

We provide you with an opportunity to earn a small fee whilst practicing your skill and at the same time making a huge difference in our clients lives. The main activities our client need support in is:

  • Brand and Digital Identity – logo and colour pallete
  • Instagram shop set up
  • Social media templates
  • Bookkeeping services
  • Invoicing system set up and maintenance

Industry Specialists are Ignite pro-bono resource team members with specialised skills and expertise that may not be as common to our level of client.

Example include commercial lease review, legal advisors for reviews of terms of conditions, importing consultants, ecommerce professionals.

As an Industry Specialist you can join the Ignite supporter pool, and when a client matches your skills, we will facilitate a session.  This is a huge benefit for our clients who have barriers to accessing this type of support.
